A-Z Bible Stories for Me

Active Bible Curriculum

The purpose for developing this program is rooted in our desire to model a means by which all of us can actively engage children in our effort to fulfill God’s commandment to TEACH them the WORD and the WAY. It is in Deuteronomy 6:4-7 we read:

“Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one! You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength.

“And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up.

The author’s desire is for this project to be available and accessible FREE in any home, school or church around the world through the internet. It is for that reason we choose to:

  • present Bible story videos including children dramatizing the story-songs
  • present related printable resources for crafts and handwriting
  • model different teaching and learning styles for adults

How This Curriculum Can Be Used

Bible stories, handwriting, crafts & dramatized songs are creatively presented as we go through the Bible with stories associated with the letters A through Z.

Examples:
Letter Aa presents a story entitled Adam named the animals

Letter Bb presents a story entitled Bartimaeus was blind

This exciting early childhood curriculum for early readers and writers starts not only with the first letter of the alphabet, Aa, but also with the first book in the Bible, Genesis, which tells of the beginnings of all things. Our first story presents the first man, Adam, as he names all the animals which God had created.

Each of the units A-Z is presented through a group of:

  • An overview video of the lesson through an introductory song
  • A short Bible story video
  • A sample video dramatization of a song for the story
  • Video instruction of letter formation
  • Video instruction for a craft project
  • Videos are in MP4 format usable on computers, phones, etc.
  • Songs are supplied in MP3 format

Each of the units also includes a group of printable materials for activities:

  • A foldable Story Book
  • A foldable Little Book
  • A Lyric Sheet
  • An Interactive Craft Sheet(s)
  • A Handwriting Sheet
