Letter E Introduction

The “Intro” to “Elijah eats” gives a brief overview of the core components found in a unit for the letter “Ee”.

The last is an original song in which the children are seen dramatically retelling the story. The other two components are instructional videos for manuscript handwriting, and interactive crafts supporting the story.

The “Handwriting” video for “Ee” (notice the letters “E” and “e” found in “Elijah eats”) provides step-by-step instructions with likeable cartoon characters naming the various line segments used in manuscript writing: Verty (vertical), Slanty (diagonal), Zontals (horizontal), and Curvy (curved).

Both correct hand position and the distinction between upper and lower case letters are emphasized.
