Letter S Introduction

The “Intro” to “Samaritan serves” gives a brief overview of the core components found in a unit for the letter “Ss”.

Let's Practice Writing!

The “Handwriting” video for “Ss” (notice the letters “S” and “s” found in “Samaritan serves”) provides step-by-step instructions with likeable personalities naming the various line segments used in manuscript writing: Verty (vertical), Slanty (diagonal), Zontals (horizontal), and Curvy (curved).

Both correct hand position and the distinction between upper and lower case letters are emphasized.

A downloadable resource worksheet includes the words to the story’s song and an illustration.
